About Us

Welcome to Coventry Hill Homestead, a small patch of rural land in upstate New York where we’re building a homestead from the ground up—with no prior experience, a lot of determination, and a deep desire to live more simply.

We’re not experts. We’re not off-grid influencers. We’re just a few people with calloused hands and big learning curves, figuring things out one project at a time.

This place began as a dream: to create something of our own, to live closer to the land, and to challenge ourselves to live more sustainably and intentionally. So we packed up, moved out here, and started learning—how to grow vegetables, how to get power, how to build things that don’t fall over in the wind (ideally). Along the way, we’ve discovered how humbling and rewarding it is to start from scratch.

What you’ll find on this blog is a mix of honest stories, project updates, small victories, and occasional failures. We share what works, what doesn’t, and what we’re still trying to figure out—whether it’s starting seeds, managing muddy roads, or making bread without a proper oven.

If you're dreaming of a simpler life, starting your own journey, or just curious about the process, we’re glad you're here. There’s no blueprint, but there’s plenty to learn together.

Thanks for stopping by the hill.
